COUNCIL REGULATION (EU) 2017/964 of 8 June 2017 amending Regulation (EU) No 267/2012 concerning restrictive measures against Iran

Decision 2010/413/CFSP provides for an authorisation regime for deciding on nuclear-related transfers to, or activities with, Iran not covered by United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 2231 (2015). In full consistency with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the above legal acts make technical amendments to Council Decision 2010/413/CFSP and Council Regulation (EU) No.267/2012 designed to achieve a consistent application of controls throughout the Union. The amendments include a requirement for an end user statement to be in place for certain goods before an export can be authorised. The Joint Commission will also be notified in the event that certain nuclear-related goods are procured from Iran, replacing a previous requirement for Joint Commission approval
